Medical Office Assistant

Brooks is my home town but I have lived in Calgary, the Okanagan, and Canmore/Banff. After being in the mountains for years I returned to the prairies to take care of my parents. I received my MOA certificate in 2014 and have been happily employed at SSMC since. You may see me walking around town with my fuzzy white dog, or heading to the airport for world exploration!

Registered Nurse, BN

Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada. Stacey graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of New Brunswick in May 2002. Since 2002, she has been building her nursing expertise which includes a background in maternal/child health, labour and delivery, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, acute care and emergency medicine. And now chronic health management. Stacey is very interested in all areas of medicine, however, it is genuinely the care of people and how complex and miraculous the human body is that truly intrigues her. When she is not at work, Stacey loves to be with her family and enjoys the beauty of the great outdoors. She likes cooking and loves listening to music. She also really enjoys animals and relaxing with a good book.

I have been nursing for 20+ years.  Over the years I have been able to work in a variety of areas including ICU, ER and Public Health prior to coming to the clinic in 2018.  Together with my husband  and daughters we operate a family farm (3rd generation).  Apart from nursing and farming I enjoy spending time with my family, running, reading, playing piano and volunteering with the local fire department as a First Responder in my home community.  I love living and working in rural Southern Alberta!
