Dr. Visser was born in Somerset West, South Africa. He went to Paarl Boys' High School after which he started and completed his medical studies at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He was an avid rugby player, representing the university rugby team as well as playing into his working career.

 

He went on to complete his Diploma in Emergency Care through the College of Medicines South Africa and pursued a career combined with medicine and travelling the world working as a maritime physician onboard cruise ships. His wanderlust enabled him to also work as an emergency physician in Ireland combined with private and public medicine in South Africa, before finally settling his roots in Brooks, Canada in 2023.

 

Dr. Visser strives to offer his patients a professional and comfortable environment in which to receive evidence based medicine as well as building a strong foundation off of which to provide future care for the whole family.

 

His medical interests include:

• Emergency Medicine

 

When not in the office Dr. Visser can be found playing golf, barbecuing, exercising in the gym or walking his fellow doctors' dogs. He looks forward to serving the community of Brooks and becoming a loyal Brooks Bandits supporter.
